Bianchi 7000-A Nice Functional Holster for the Money, February 8, 2016

Bianchi 7000 Black Sporting Holster Left Handed Version. This fits my S&W Model 64 .38 Sp 4″ Barrel Revolver very well and does a good job of protecting it. It has a nicer look than some of the other low cost holsters. Adjusting the thumb strap is a little tricky, but the included flat wooden stick and instructions help. If the stick breaks you can always use a dull butter knife. In order to adjust the Thumb Strap you have to pry up the part of the strap that’s under the injection molded belt loop which is a very tight fit. After you make the adjustment make sure to use the stick to press down on the strap to secure it back on to the Velcro. I have used a 1′” wide belt and there is room for a wider belt probably up to 1.75″. One other thing is with the thickness of the belt. Thicker belts can be more difficult to thread through the loop. I keep my Revolver in this holster at home and when transporting it to the Gun Range. A nice holster for the money.

Great molded “sporting” holster, October 27, 2017

It’s always nice to receive a product that lives up to its’ Amazon description and the Bianchi Sporting Holster certainly does just that. It is ruggedly made with a molded form to hold the gun in place and an adjustable velcro strap w/snap to secure it tightly as well, though the snap comes off easily enough. This company is so thoughtful as to include a wooden tongue depresser-like tool to feed the strap to its’ optimal position. There were cheaper holsters available, but none offering a LEFT handed one and I believe the others might have been soft sided and the wrong size for my particular “equipment” The belt hole compartment will accommodate about an 1-1/8″ wide belt and the molded plastic won’t fray from any belt moving on it.

Inexpensive holster, has a couple of issues., February 3, 2016

I bought this holster for a Ruger GP-100. The fit at first was terrible. As the holster came it was bent and the pistol had to be forced in. Since the holster is plastic, I placed it in the oven on low (warm) for a half hour, it came out much more flexible and I put my pistol in it and let it cool. The holster is now a good fit. I would have given the holster 4 stars except that the belt slot is very difficult to use. The velcro strap which holds the pistol in place has to fit in there with your belt, which is a tight fit. Overall, this is a decent holster for the money, but not as nice as a good leather holster.
